Following a user request I’ve created a Entity Relationship Diagram describing the internal structure of the Ergast database. I’ve also added a file providing the MySQL table definitions in case people need them. These are both available from the Database Images page.

Hi,
Great to see an ERD 🙂 Would it be possible to add other racing series ? I can see that all the API calls include f1, but there’s no Series table … could that be easily added on to the Seasons table ? -

I did support Formula E for a while at: http://ergast.com/api/fe/
but I couldn’t keep up with all changes to the format and points system.
Maitaining a series database is quite time consuming but the run time is available to anyone who wants to set one up.
